QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- CA(SA) or equivalent (Essential).
- Completed articles in external audit or financial management (Essential).
- 5 years’ experience working in finance including at least 2 years in a senior financial management position.
JOB PURPOSE
In this position, you will take responsibility for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the
company, including the development of financial and operational strategies, metrics tied to such strategies; and
ongoing development, embedment and monitoring of systems of control to manage and preserve company assets,
report accurate financial results and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role will take
responsibility for establishing and maintaining financial management policies and procedures; and accountability
for the day-to-day financial functions of the company including the effective utilisation of staff and financial
resources; and the production of accurate and relevant financial information and reports. In conjunction with the
management team, this role will assist in developing long, medium and short-term strategic objectives of the business.
To be successful in this role, you will have to be financial and strategically strong.
JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial management for all group companies.
- Financial administration and compliance
- Management staff via KPAs.
- Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual
financial reporting internally.
- Monthly reporting of financial performance to
management and EXCO.
- Quarterly reporting of financial performance to
Board.
- Ensure annual audits (statutory and B-BBEE) of all
companies are completed timely.
- Enable unqualified audited annual financial
statements through development and monitoring of
financial controls.
- Cost control, bookkeeping and accounting for all
group companies.
- Take accountability for the payment process of the
group companies.
- Improve, implement and
maintain.
- Take accountability for the procurement process of

- Take accountability for the overall integrity of the
financial reporting systems of the group companies.
- Draft budgets annually, maintain and report against
them.
- Target setting and; monitoring of performance
against budgets, plans, targets, forecasts, and past
performance
- Financial forecast modelling and reporting.
- Manage payroll and make timely employee
payments.
- Take responsibility for the relationship with our
bankers.
- Adhoc financial modelling and report writing
- Tax planning for the group
- Support management as and when required
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge and application of
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
and International Financial Reporting Standards
(IFRS for SMEs.
- Knowledge of Company Taxation in terms of South
African Tax Legislation.
