Position: Service Account Manager
Location: Port Elizabeth (with oversight over PE and KZN area customers)

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel between Port Elizabeth and KwaZulu-Natal
Job Purpose:
The Service Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; ensuring a safe, secure, and legal work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities. This role involves approving work reports and time sheets of all technical staff working on customer sites, providing technical information and customer ratios in a timely manner, and maintaining professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment; develop personal growth opportunities.
- Technical Oversight: Approve work reports and time sheets of all technical staff working on customer sites.
- Information Management: Provide technical information and customer ratios (production, efficiency, waste, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
- Financial Support: Prepare yearly budgets for customers based on sleeve forecasts (labor and parts based, PMs, training, etc.).
- Service Solutions: Proactively sell service solutions to customers in collaboration with the Key Account Manager (KAM).
- Performance Improvement: Drive improvements in customer technical performance indicators (TLE, waste, etc.) and financial indicators (cost per '000, customer TS results, etc.).
- Project Participation: Participate with the KAM and project team in project requirements and definitions discussions with customers during the project commercialization phase.
- Coordination: Work closely with the KAM to coordinate activities within contractual agreements and customer ad hoc requests.
- Maintenance Planning: Oversee the preparation and planning of preventive maintenance, SP delivery, CM, installation of MP, and claim management.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the project team during the project execution phase as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven 6-10 years' experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Knowledge in Aseptic technology is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to travel frequently between Port Elizabeth and KwaZulu-Natal.
- Technical knowledge and experience in managing customer performance indicators.
