Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

An established mining and drilling organisation is seeking a strategic Chief Technical Officer to lead its engineering, manufacturing, R&D, product development and technology functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive engineering and technology strategy, innovation and product development.

• Oversee manufacturing performance, automation, production efficiency and quality.

• Lead capital investment planning, budgets and technical resource allocation.

• Ensure engineering excellence, safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

• Develop high-performing technical teams and drive long-term business growth.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

• 12–15+ years’ relevant engineering or manufacturing experience.

• 5–8+ years in senior leadership with P&L accountability.

• Strong experience in manufacturing, R&D, capital-intensive industries and technology innovation.

• MBA or postgraduate business qualification advantageous.
