An opportunity is available for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join a growing team within the renewable energy sector. This role is responsible for managing procurement, logistics, and inventory functions to support operational and financial objectives. The position works closely with procurement offices, on-site operations, and sustainability teams to ensure efficient and compliant supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies.

• Manage procurement processes including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationships.

• Ensure alignment with B-BBEE and preferential procurement requirements.

• Oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials and equipment.

• Monitor inventory and spare parts levels using CMMS and ERP systems.

• Conduct supplier assessments and audits, ensuring quality and compliance.

• Collaborate with operations teams to forecast and meet project material needs.

• Support local economic development through supplier diversity initiatives.

• Maintain accurate supply chain documentation and reporting.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline

• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in procurement, logistics, and supply chain

• Working knowledge of South Africa’s preferential procurement policies and B-BBEE regulations

• Experience with contract management and supplier evaluation

• Strong MS Office 365 proficiency (Teams, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
