Position: Supply and Distribution Coordinator (Warehousing)
Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng
Industry: Manufacturing/ Mining

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Supply and Distribution Coordinator to join a leading operation based in Kempton Park. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in warehouse control, logistics coordination, procurement, and inventory management particularly within the mining or manufacturing sectors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Logistics, or related field
  • 12+ years’ experience in warehousing, logistics, procurement, and shipping
  • Forklift license – Non-Negotiable
  • Valid Driver’s License: Code B, C1, C, EB, EC1, EC
  • Experience in packing and shipping Dangerous Goods
  • Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary office support role within mining or manufacturing
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 (FinOps)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Control

  • Receive and process goods in Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Issue goods to sales orders/projects
  • Locate and pick parts (physically and digitally)
  • Register non-conformance documentation
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and stock organization

Logistics Coordination

  • Pack outgoing parts
  • Assist with customs-related queries via internal specialists

Procurement

  • Source parts locally/internationally
  • Identify new vendors to improve pricing and delivery
  • Expedite orders and manage vendor relationships
  • Coordinate item master data changes
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Drive value through procurement and vendor management

Inventory Control

  • Ensure physical inventory matches ERP records
  • Assign items to correct locations
  • Monitor inventory scorecard and report weekly
  • Participate in cycle counts and full stock takes
