Job Title: General Manager – Africa

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng | Extensive African travel

A leading technical services organisation is seeking an experienced General Manager to drive business growth, profitability and operational excellence across multiple African markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business strategy, financial performance and regional operations.

• Drive business development, major tenders and contract negotiations.

• Oversee multi-country projects, equipment utilisation and operational efficiency.

• Champion safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.

• Lead organisational integration, talent development and technology-driven growth.

• Build strategic client relationships and report on business performance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Engineering, Mining, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

• 12+ years’ relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior management.

• Proven P&L accountability, business development and contract-winning experience.

• Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership capabilities.

• Experience managing projects and teams across multiple countries.

• Valid passport and driver’s licence, with willingness to travel extensively across Africa.
