Role Summary:
As the Financial Manager based in the DRC, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our projects and ensuring that our financial practices are in line with statutory laws and corporate policies. This role is suited for an experienced expatriate who understands the complexities of the EPC industry in the DRC and can contribute to strategic financial planning and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, including project financing, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with the DRC's financial legal framework and international financial standards.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives and project requirements.
- Oversee procurement and contract negotiations from a financial perspective, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with fiscal regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on financial performance for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Manage and forecast cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity for project needs.
- Collaborate with project managers and other department heads to optimize financial performance across projects.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of financial management experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the EPC sector.
- Extensive experience in the DRC or similar markets, with a comprehensive understanding of local economic conditions and business practices.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
- Proven leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic Fluency in French or Swahili is required and must be exceptional in English
- Demonstrated ability to navigate multicultural environments and lead diverse teams
