Project Finance Analyst-Renewable Energy

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Finance Analyst to support the development, financing, and execution of renewable and conventional energy projects. This role provides exposure to financial modelling, investment analysis, and transaction support, and plays a key part in structuring debt and equity financing, evaluating project economics, and supporting investment committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimise detailed project finance models to assess investment returns, funding requirements, and sensitivities

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating debt and equity financing with lenders, investors, and other stakeholders

  • Support financial due diligence, financial close activities, and preparation of investment committee papers

  • Monitor and forecast cash positions across the group and liaise with banks on treasury products

  • Track financial performance of operating assets and update models post-financial close

  • Provide input into bid submissions, PPAs, equipment rental agreements, and valuation exercises

  • Support capital structuring, portfolio optimisation, and corporate budgeting processes

  • Contribute to enhancements in capital raising processes, internal controls, and automation initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

  • Professional qualification (e.g., CA) preferred but not required

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, project finance, credit analysis, or structured finance

  • Exposure to project finance, capital markets, leveraged finance, or investment transactions preferred

  • Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel (including macros)

  • High attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
