Position: Associate Fund Principal: Fund of Funds & Co-Investments

Requirements:

• BCom/BBusSci (Hons) Financial Management, Finance, Investment Management or BSc (Hons) or related equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate qualification (Masters, MBA, etc), CFA or CA(SA) would be advantageous
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in investment industry. Fund of Funds or Multi-manager experience would be advantageous
• Previous transaction experience
• Private equity industry knowledge
• FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment

Duties:

• Deal sourcing - proactively identify investment partners and opportunities
• Deal screening - desktop analysis of investment opportunities
• Preparation of preliminary scoping reports
• Lead the transaction team through the whole investment process
• Conduct and coordinate due diligence on potential investment opportunities
• Participate in structuring and pricing of transactions
• Participate in negotiation of term sheets
• Preparation of appraisal reports
• Review and comment on transaction agreements
• Participate in the implementation and disbursement process
• Lead the handover of approved transactions to various divisions including portfolio management
• Ongoing monitoring of a portfolio of funds, including review of quarterly reports, valuation, risk management, compliance, and reporting
• Participate in the exit process for transactions
