Digital Communications Lead

R600k - 850k (Neg) plus bonus

Excellent career opportunity with leading global FMCG Group. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role requires digitally savvy individual who experienced in crafting compelling content. You will draw on experience in paid online programmes, social media, CRM and improving website performance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders locally and at our global Operations Centre and focus strongly on tracking progress against critical metrics to ensure that initiatives are achieving the desired outcomes.

External Communications

  • Support omnichannel communications strategy development, planning and execution of communications projects and initiatives to achieve key business objectives
  • Work with members of the external communications and agency teams to produce fully integrated online including website, social media, email, digital paid programmes and offline campaigns to reach intended audiences effectively and efficiently
  • Lead implementation of paid digital media campaigns and recommend the most suitable platforms and campaigns to achieve communications goals
  • Update and maintain corporate and campaign website/s and social media channels in collaboration with teams, and build engaging content creation to improve corporate reputation
  • Monitor the efficiency of the website and other social media platforms. This includes handling search engine optimization and providing a content strategy to drive people to the website and online social media platforms
  • Conduct performance data review and metrics related to the digital platforms and campaigns, develop regular performance reports/dashboards and recommend vital actions to improve performance

Internal Communications

  • Maintain, update and execute the internal communications calendar across a variety of channels, including email, newsletters, corporate intranet, Yammer and townhall meetings

Qualifications and experience

  • University degree/ Diploma in (Digital) Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years working in or with a digital media agency or corporate in a digital communications role
  • Sound knowledge of digital communication strategy development and implementation
  • Validated experience in digital marketing, running paid, owned and social media campaigns. Experience in content marketing is a strong plus
  • Proficient in digital advertising technologies, paid media landscape and paid media buying
  • Able to run globally led and locally driven campaigns
